It's been a while since I posted anything about music on here. I still enjoy Jrock, but not the new, young bands that come up from time to time. I'm a sucker for the oldies, like Lareine. Kamijo is HOT. I don't care how old he is. He's my shameful dream of a guy, which of course is stupid because he is an idea of someone's perfect man. So I'm not dwelling on that, though it does make for good conversational material with other people like me.

Anyway, my tastes have evolved to include British bands, just because some of their music evokes nostalgia in me (it's the tone of the song and the voice!). I love breathy voices. It's like really, really good food.

Also, I have taken to re-reading some of my books, specifically Julie & Julia, and Half-life. Naturally, I enjoyed reading Julie & Julia again (maybe for the fourth time, even!). Its light tone and real-life plot (though some parts have been made up to sell, I imagine) do get me giggling and for a while, feeling myself inside a bit of the author's life as well. In my previous post about Half-life, I basically gave a shallow analysis of the novel. Two years later, I am able to understand and appreciate it more, whether that is due to my age or not. Reading it again puts me in more sorrow and joy than the first time around. This time, I read more into important statements and am able to sympathize with the other characters, especially Greg. I was a bit upset that the main character wasn't really put to justice for what he did, but then the author did not choose to focus on that, I guess. And perhaps the loneliness that ensued was punishment enough, until his significant other came along.
