It's basically about a newlywed girl meeting a bunch of so-called Debutante Divorcees, and chapters of celebrating the blessed, single life. Except for said newlywed, since someone is out to get her spouse. I can't spill too much, and I do write a rotten review just because I'm too excited. It would definitely make a nice read on a boring afternoon.

Yes, I've also changed my layout again. I might change it again soon. There are too many nice ones, and I can't be bothered to make a personalized banner. ;)

Diary of a Mad Bride, by Laura Wolf, is both hilarious and sad. Hilarious for the obvious reason that it's just simply nice to hear about other people's troubles (until it happens to you, of course), and sad because ...well, marriage can be sad in the sense that it's the end of your blessed, single life and the start of a relationship that you cannot just get out of easily. But that's just my take on it. I enjoyed the book immensely and it fed my hunger for light humor; oh, I can delve into the occasional classic, though for ordinary times, I can throw away all that pretense and settle down with a novel I actually like.

Okay, the copy my sister has has a different cover, but this was the only one on Amazon with a picture. So yeah. It shares a similar title with Who Moved My Cheese? (though I didn't read that one yet). Anyway, after reading this one, I will, for some time, be afraid of perky lecturers and "serious" life coaches. Not to mention all those corny jargon they use in power meetings (and yes, I do believe they use those words in real-life conventions and seminars).

Right now I have started on The Debutant Divorcee. I am not scared to admit that I am an ordinary person. *grin*

And yes, I enjoy chick-lit and some other forms of literature that "real" writers might shudder at.
